Dr. Gillian Berry, MSW, LICSW, LCSW-C

Dr. Berry, director of CSWS, has over thirty years of social work experience as a practitioner and educator. She obtained her Masters and Doctoral degrees from Birmingham University in England. She has worked full time at the University of Botswana’s Department of Social Work Southern Africa. In the United States she works as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Social Work and at the National Catholic School of Social Service at the Catholic University of America. Dr. Berry previously worked for Charles County and Prince George’s County Department of Social Services as a clinical supervisor and facilitator, was the training director at Child & Family services where she created the Training Academy, and most recently led a multidisciplinary clinical team at The George Washington University counseling services. She is also a trained mediator for the State of Maryland. She presents at conferences, nationally and internationally on professional social work practice, public child welfare, culturally appropriate practice, and personal/self-improvement. Dr. Berry launched CSWS in 2011 because of her passion for training and commitment to excellence in practice. Her trainers and administrative staff share this passion and are committed to delivering quality services.

Janis Pressley, LICSW, LCSW-C

Janis provides training and consultation services with CSWS. She has over 20+ years of experience providing direct and indirect social work services to children and families. She brings a wealth of experience as an educator and trainer in areas of diversity, working with children and families, ethics, supervision, social environment, social work field experience, resilience, self-care, and secondary trauma.

Catie Greene, PhD, LPC

Catie provides training, consultation, and research with CSWS. Catie is a professional counselor who provides individual and group counseling services to adults. Catie is also an educator and trainer in areas of counseling, supervision, diversity & social justice.
